The Lift Modernisation project will modernise and refurbish a core building amenity and improve customer satisfaction, creating a seamless door to desk transition.
The modernisation of this key building amenity will replace both the hardware and the software of the existing lift system. This will include replacing current call buttons with digital operating panels, installing digital screens within the lifts as well as installing new lift technology.
Riverside Centre are partnering with Kone to install new state-of-the-art lift destination control technology which will be able to predict travel patterns, resulting in the elimination of over-crowding and unnecessary stops.
Upon completion of the lift modernisation, customers and their guests will be able to enjoy greater reliability and a reduction in both wait and travel times when using the lifts. The new system is also equipped with self-sustaining energy generation capabilities, making it more environmentally sustainable.
To minimise disruptions, lifts will be upgraded one at a time as they will be unavailable for a 3 month period each. Works have already commenced and are scheduled for completion in late 2017.
